Prime Minister Considers Minibus Drivers’ Strike Resolved, Drivers Not Convinced

Gas prices at Armenian gas stations have decreased to 200 AMD from 230 AMD per cubic meter. Yesterday, PM Hovik Abrahamyan spoke to journalists about the minibus drivers' strike. Abrahamyan said that the issue of gas prices was resolved since gas has come back to its old price.

However, the drivers claim that gas has never costed 200 AMD. According to them, dropping the price by 30 AMD is not satisfactory and they will continue to strike until the price returns to 170 AMD.

Recall, that the minibus drivers' strike is against the increases in gas prices resulting in an increase of 5000 AMD per fill up. The drivers have gathered in Yerevan’s Malatia-Sebastia district since the beginning of the strike, which is currently in its third day.
