Police Did Not Leave Alec Yenikomshian Alone on the Street: Armenian Police

On October 19, the police did not leave Pre-Parliament Movement Board member Alec Yenikomshian on the busy street, instead they waited for his friends to arrive and pick him up. The latter was revealed by police emergency squad chief Pavel Ordyan in a police video news report.

Recall, In a Pre-Parliament public statement it noted that, on October 19, police took Yenikomshian out of his neighbor’s, Vahram Gabrielyan's, car, even when Yenikomshian told them that he was blind. Some time later, some passersby approached Alec Yenikomshian and took him away from the busy street.

However, Ordyan claims that he assisted Yenikomshian to the sidewalk, and stopped a taxi for him to go where he wished, but Yenikomshian refused and said his friend would come pick him up. In the video provided by the police, it shows how two men go to a taxi and return to the sidewalk as Ordyan explained. Ordyan also said that he waited in a distance, until people came and took Yenikomshian away.

Pre-Parliament expressed to Epress.am that they have an explaination related to the video’s report, and they are planning to hold a press conference on the issue.
