No Visa Regime Between Armenia and Georgia: Georgian Foreign Ministry

Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia (RA) in Tbilisi that Georgia does not intend to introduce a visa regime for citizens of Armenia, tweeted [AM] RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Tigran Balayan on Tuesday.

The introduction of a visa regime between Armenia and Georgia was reported earlier by Russian news agency Regnum [RU], which said that Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs intends to introduce a visa regime for those citizens of Armenia who will be in Georgia long term, for example, to work. 

Note, Tbilisi announced yesterday that Georgia and the EU will migrate to a visa-free regime in 2016; however, this news has not yet been confirmed by the EU.
